Ingredients needed for Choco Roll
- 6 medium Egg
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour
- 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 3 teaspoons Milk
- 1/4 cup All Purpose Cream
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vegetable Oil
- 1 tablespoon Powdered Sugar
- 3/4 cup All Purpose Cream
- 6 tablespoons Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups chocolate powder, dissolved in ¼ cup of warm water
How to make Choco Roll step by step
- Whisk egg yolks with 1⁄4 cup of sugar until light and smooth. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Mix until thoroughly combined. Whisk in the vanilla extract, milk, and heavy cream.
- Whisk the egg whites with 2 tbsp sugar in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form. Fold in the egg yolk mixture until combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper and oil it. Pour in cake mixture, spread evenly, and bake for 10 minutes at 320°F.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes after removing from the oven. Sprinkle with powdered sugar on top. Set aside for 30 minutes to cool.
- Whip the All Purpose Cream until it doubles in size for the filling and frosting. Whisk in the condensed milk, chocolate powder, and vanilla extract gradually. Set aside for 30 minutes.
- Unroll the cake, spread half of the filling over it, and roll it up. Spread the remaining cream mixture on the roll's outside. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Chill before serving.
