Application for Tanzania Commonwealth PhD & Masters Scholarship.

Application for the 2024 Tanzania Commonwealth PhD & Masters Scholarship. The general public is thus informed that the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom (CSC) is seeking Tanzanian citizens who meet the requirements to apply for Commonwealth scholarships for Ph.D. and Master’s programs in 2024.

Tanzania Commonwealth PhD & Masters Scholarship 2024 Application Requirements

i. An applicant for a Master’s degree must hold a first degree of at least upper second class with honors;
ii. An applicant for PhD degree must hold a relevant postgraduate qualification (a Master’s degree) with at least Upper Second Class with Honour or Distinction;
iii. All applicants must have the support of a potential supervisor from at least one UK University listed in the applicants’ application form; and
iv. All supporting documents must be submitted in the required format.

List of documents to be submitted

An applicant must submit the following supporting documents as part of the
evaluation process:

i. Academic certificates and transcripts;
ii. Two recommendation letters (referees reports);
iii. One supporting statement from a UK institution (for PhD candidates);
iv. Proof of Tanzanian citizenship or refugee status in a Commonwealth
Country; and v. A quality study plan with a detailed potential impact on the development of
your home country.

Application process and submission

i. CSC online application will be open on 6 September 2023 and closed by 18 October 2023 at 16:00 (GMT). For details on how to apply please visit:

ii. The CSC has a deadline of 8 November 2023 at 16:00 (GMT) for
submitting all required supporting documentation.
