THE CDCFIB UPDATE OVERVIEW:
- Circular Release: In a circular titled βRe: Status Report of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB)β, the Board has shared new details regarding the upcoming 2025 recruitment exercise for the four paramilitary services under its jurisdiction.
- Advertisement Period: The CDCFIB is seeking a waiver to cut the required advertisement period from six weeks to three weeks in national newspapers.
- Government Approval: Mr. President has approved the recruitment of 30,150 personnel across four services, plus 209 additional staff for the CDCFIB Secretariat.

- Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS): 5,150 personnel
- Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS): 10,000 personnel
- Federal Fire Service (FFS): 5,000 personnel
- Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC): 10,000 personnel
- CDCFIB Secretariat: 209 personnel

The recruitment also includes positions for doctors and nurses within the Nigerian Correctional Serviceβan essential move for enhancing healthcare in the system.
-A candidate can only apply for only one service. Applying to multiple services will get one disqualified. Eg. If you apply for immigration them you cant not apply for any of the 3 others
-Applicants must not be more than 35 years old at point of application
-Applicantsβ height must not be less than 1.65m for male and 1.60m for females.
-Applicant chest measurement must not be less than 0.87 for men.
-Applicants must not have been involved in any financial embarrassment.
