    CDCFIB Update: 2025 Recruitment for Paramilitary Services

    The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has released crucial updates regarding the 2025 recruitment exercise. Here’s what you need to know.

    THE CDCFIB UPDATE OVERVIEW:

    TheΒ Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB)Β has made a significant announcement regarding the recruitment timeline for various services. Originally set to kick off onΒ Thursday, June 26, 2025, the opening of the recruitment portal has been postponed toΒ Monday, July 14, 2025. This change aims to ensure that all prospective applicants are well-informed and prepared for the application process.
    In a notice signed by the Secretary to the Board onΒ June 25, 2025, the CDCFIB emphasized the importance of keeping the public updated on this revised schedule. Alongside this announcement, they provided the official recruitment portal link for candidates eager to apply:Β https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.
    • Circular Release: In a circular titled β€œRe: Status Report of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB)”, the Board has shared new details regarding the upcoming 2025 recruitment exercise for the four paramilitary services under its jurisdiction.
    • Advertisement Period: The CDCFIB is seeking a waiver to cut the required advertisement period from six weeks to three weeks in national newspapers.
    • Government Approval: Mr. President has approved the recruitment of 30,150 personnel across four services, plus 209 additional staff for the CDCFIB Secretariat.

    RECRUITMENT BREAKDOWN

    Here’s how the recruitment numbers stack up by agency:

    • Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS): 5,150 personnel
    • Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS): 10,000 personnel
    • Federal Fire Service (FFS): 5,000 personnel
    • Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC): 10,000 personnel
    • CDCFIB Secretariat: 209 personnel

    It’s crucial to note thatΒ all applications are completely freeβ€”there’s no need for any payment. The Board has urged applicants to be vigilant and avoid falling prey to fraudsters who may pose as intermediaries.

    While the CDCFIB regrets any inconvenience this delay may cause, they remain committed to ensuring aΒ fair and transparent recruitment process. This dedication to integrity is vital for maintaining public trust and ensuring that the best candidates are selected for these essential services.

    Note:

    The recruitment also includes positions for doctors and nurses within the Nigerian Correctional Serviceβ€”an essential move for enhancing healthcare in the system.

    -A candidate can only apply for only one service. Applying to multiple services will get one disqualified. Eg. If you apply for immigration them you cant not apply for any of the 3 others

    -Applicants must not be more than 35 years old at point of application

    -Applicants’ height must not be less than 1.65m for male and 1.60m for females.

    -Applicant chest measurement must not be less than 0.87 for men.

    -Applicants must not have been involved in any financial embarrassment.
