WHAT ARE THE QECS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY CRITICAL 

The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) eligibility criteria are as follows:

  1. Citizenship: Applicants must be a citizen of (or hold refugee status in) a Commonwealth country. The Commonwealth countries are: Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Botswana, Brunei Darussalam, Cameroon, Canada, Cyprus, Dominica, Fiji, The Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Malawi, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nauru, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Samoa, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Sri Lanka, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and The Grenadines, Swaziland, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Uganda, United Kingdom, Tanzania, Vanuatu and Zambia.
  2. Age: There is No age Limit or Restriction.
  3. Academic background: Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree at a 2:1 equivalent level (or higher). In some countries, the equivalent level may be a GPA of 3.3 or higher.
  4. Course of study: Applicants must apply for a QECS-eligible master’s degree programme in a Commonwealth country that is different from their home country.
  5. English language proficiency: Applicants must have an overall score of 6.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with no band below 6.0 (or equivalent scores in other recognised English language tests).
  6. References: Applicants must provide two references, one academic and one professional.
